WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US

You deserve to be heard, not judged

Living with persistent pain is exhausting, and harder still when you feel you have to prove it. We ask questions, review your history, and talk openly about your options. You will not be reduced to a diagnosis, a pain score, or a medication list.

Respectful
You are treated as a person, not a label.
Individualized
Recommendations are based on your history, symptoms, risks, and priorities.
Clear and collaborative
You understand what is being recommended and why, and your goals shape the decision.
Realistic
Meaningful progress, without promising a cure or a guaranteed result.
THE BASICS

What is pain management?

Medical care designed to evaluate pain, understand how it affects your life, and build a plan to reduce symptoms and improve function where possible. A plan may include medication management, rehabilitative care, lifestyle guidance, diagnostic review, a targeted procedure, or a referral — the right path depends on your condition, history, previous treatment, and goals.

It is not simply prescribing medication or performing procedures. It is an ongoing process of evaluating what is helping, monitoring safety, and adjusting care as your needs change.

CONDITIONS AND SYMPTOMS

Can we help with your type of pain?

We evaluate adults with acute, persistent, and chronic pain — back and neck, joints, nerve pain, sciatica, injury and post-surgical pain, and pain tied to chronic conditions.

Lower Back Pain Herniated Disc Degenerative Disc Disease Neuropathy Arthritis Pelvic Pain Spinal Compression Fractures

Pain can have more than one contributing factor. An evaluation is necessary before a diagnosis or treatment recommendation can be made.

FUNCTION AND GOALS

The goal is more than a lower pain score

Most patients are trying to regain part of their lives — sleeping through the night, walking through a grocery store, sitting long enough to work, driving comfortably, caring for a grandchild, getting back to a hobby. Your provider will ask what meaningful improvement looks like for you, and those goals become how we judge whether the plan is working.

MEDICATION CONCERNS

Worried about what happens to your medication?

It is reasonable to have questions, especially if you have taken the same medication for a long time, had side effects, or felt judged at previous appointments. Medication decisions here begin with an individual evaluation of your current medications, history, diagnoses, treatment response, functional goals, risks, and options.

Medication is never changed from a website request or without clinical review.
Monitoring may be part of ongoing care.
Benefits, risks, concerns, and alternatives are discussed openly.

NEW-PATIENT PROCESS

What happens before your first visit

We require a referral from a medical provider before establishing a new pain-management patient. Here is the whole path.

Step 01
Ask your provider for a referral
Your physician or nurse practitioner submits a pain-management referral with relevant records. Unsure what is needed? Email info@canyonpaincenter.com.
Step 02
We review and reach out
Our team reviews the referral and records, confirms we are the right fit, then contacts you to explain next steps, scheduling, and payment.
Step 03
Your evaluation
Your provider discusses your pain, history, medications, previous treatment, daily limitations, and goals. Shared records are reviewed before you arrive.
Step 04
A clear path forward
Treatment, additional records, monitoring, follow-up, imaging, or referral. Some decisions wait until the provider has complete information.

FAQS

Frequently asked questions

Yes. We currently require a referral from a physician or nurse practitioner before you can establish pain-management care. Email info@canyonpaincenter.com for referral instructions or to check whether your records were received.
Yes. Your medication history, treatment response, side effects, concerns, and goals are all relevant to the evaluation. Questions about continuing, changing, or considering medication are addressed through an individual clinical discussion.
No website can determine what should happen with an individual patient’s medication. The provider must first review the medication, diagnosis, history, benefits, risks, treatment response, and available options. Do not stop a prescribed medication without speaking with the prescribing clinician.
No. Pain management can include several approaches, and a procedure is only one possibility. Recommendations depend on your condition, previous care, goals, and clinical findings.
Bring details about what you tried, for how long, what changed, and why it stopped. That helps the provider avoid unnecessary repetition and identify what should be reconsidered, modified, or ruled out.
Through September 30, the new-patient price is $225 (regularly $260), and established monthly pain-management follow-up visits are $225. Pricing and payment expectations are confirmed when our office contacts you.
